The Two Trees of Valinor
The idea for this ring came to me one day I was resting in the forest near my house, sitting on a fallen tree while sketching new designs inspired by the woodlands surrounding me.
I have always loved Tolkiens works, since I read the Hobbit as a young child. I read that book over and over untill it started falling apart, and I had to make new paper covers for it, to keep the pages together.
I read the Lord of the Rings and Silmarillion in 7th grade, and was such a nerd that I studied Sindarin and Quenya, even learning the grammatical rules of the elvish languanges. I could write Tengwar fluently, and used it in my diary, so no one else could read my secrets.
This ring is half yellow gold, with a sun and fruit, symbolising Laurelin, and the warm day light ☀️
The other half is white gold, with a moon, symbolizing Telperion, and the night 🌙
I have made several versions of this concept over the years, each one unique.
